| Contemporary Objectism is a form of still life that casts its eye on the everyday objects we find around us today. Like background noise we learn to ignore the forms we constantly see. And yet there can be as much beauty and visual interest in the form and colours of a mobile 'phone, a bicycle or a pair of worn trainers as in anything else. They are, after all, made from the same palette of colours and shapes as all other things.
It is the artist's job to extract this beauty and engage the interest of the viewer. |
